Establishment of Norms for the UDS3 Cognitive Battery in Caucasians and African American Older Adults Lead Investigator: Felicia Goldstein Institution : Emory University E-Mail : fgoldst@emory.edu Proposal ID : 1258 Proposal Description: Weintraub and colleagues (2018) published norms for the UDS3 cognitive battery that adjusted for age, gender, and education. They emphasized the importance of future analyses that would expand the normative data to include underrepresented groups. With the focus of the Alzheimer's Disease Centers on recruitment of minority populations, the UDS3 cohort now includes a sizable number of African American older adults needed to develop norms broken down by race in addition to other demographic features. To date, there are no published norms for the UDS3 tests that consider the influence of race on performance scores. The establishment of such norms is the focus of our project, and we anticipate that these norms will be important for helping to guide clinical decision making concerning diagnosis and disease progression.
